Its already Easter Weekend! Its so hard to believe that Spring is here and Summer is so close (Salty smile). We here on the OBX are thrilled to see life thriving once again. To wrap up the week here are a few pictures of the floral arrangements, the final product.

Forsythia is amazing! These certain babies could have been a little more developed but after a fresh cut and a little time in the open air  the buds will sneak right out. Tulips were a more suitable choice- I mean, its Easter! And, who am I kidding, the leaves make a more forgiving filler.

 

 

 

 

These Salty new stretches from Paige ($169) are paired right on spot with Forsythia, don't y'all think? Clients are always sceptical about white jeans, well here is the perfect replacement. Nuetral is right on for Spring, go ahead- cleanse that pallet. Smitten by jewels, the necklace is our newest arrival. For $25 hmmm,  its a no brainer!

Sigh! We are finally open @ The Slough. Its so fresh to start the season with some pretty amazing pieces. Not all salts are at arms reach so we are posting some pics to allow a sneak  peak into our Easter Weekend. See something you like? As far as ascetics go, this one is for sure to take the cake. Wallpaper! slight surprise. A strong contrast and full foliage, unspeakable happiness.

Desperate for shoes! There is nothing like a new pair of shoes. Comfort regardless your current size, fashionable even when you are unsure, and always the ultimate accessory..there is no other salt love like shoe love. As the season quickly is upon us this salty girl is on the hunt for a couple of newbies. Its time to pack away the boots & furry flats and bust out something to be noticed. T G I Flowers!

    As mentioned in a previous post The Slough provides flowers! Its an amazing experience, one that I can earnestly say, I learn something new everyday. This salt is the furthest from a florist, but with time and patience and my utter passion for flowers I have all confidence that this is well worth it. The Slough has been asked to make a few arrangements for a small business celebrating its 10 years of success. Thrilled when asked but also nervous, me? flowers? Lucky and relieved the owner is an awesome friend and had an idea of what she wanted. So from there... to here, its to the inspiration board.

The Flower of choice, Forsythia. Its simplicity and earthy tent carried by its height makes none the less the perfect statement. Paired with Daffodils of pure white and yellow are sure to settle the arrangement. Why checkerboard? Because fashion is what I know, it is my ultimate inspiration.

It is no secret that Social Media is the way to go, it is the Ying to our Yang! So today is an excited milestone for the Salty Girl as we link up with an amazingly talent College friend of mine! Her, along with many others truly have been an inspiration to me!

That is where this salt is, at this very moment. The Shop open date has been pushed back a week and will re- open on March the 28, 2013 @ 10am. Due to shipping dates and wallpaper mishap's,but that's OK! We here at the Slough pride ourselves on only the best and patience is a virtue.

Got my eye on it.

Eyelet, a fabric once sought out for a little girl's Sunday Best, now morphed into a  matured style and fashion sense. This mother of two girlie's has always been drawn to eyelet and am over the top with a piece all for myself. Its simplicity and innocence will draw the attention of all who is near, its hip Bohemian chic at its finest.

See? Everybody is doing it! From Free People, to Fabric, The Slough, and even the big wigs. Its a sure thing for spring. We salts are uber excited, its the perfect beach casual with a side of style. mellow yellow.

Yellow is a huge trend for the spring/summer. To be honest, on the fence I was standing, never was I a huge fan of yellow. That however has quickly changed when thine eyes met these goodies. Toned down, given that extra boost, its standard. For the Slough we have a few salty suprises with that pop to carry us through, here is just a few:

Arm Candy, a term once used to describe a person of high influence, one that you brought to a party hand in hand, and ain't nobody got time for that..so now its BRACELETS. I did a little research and with complete ease found an abundant amount of options. Truly, the options are endless! There is no rhyme or reason to this madness we call style and it is a salty girls dream. Gaudy with a side of salt, thats the order of the day.
Since accessories are fresh on the press here are a few more golden guads to ease the day..

Harpers Bazaar grabbed my eye as a wee salt and Ive been running with her ever since. These were this seasons accessorie picks. Dangles, why of course, who doesn't love dangles? Beads, charms, gems..prefer all. And the knuckle ring, need more be said?

No secret arm candy is the way to go for Spring. Still unsure.. The Slough carries an obsene amount of bracelets! We cant help ourselves.
